Please join us as Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus provides a State of the City update for Auburn, Washington.

Mayor Backus has served as Auburn’s mayor since 2014 and is the first woman to hold the office since the city was incorporated in 1891. Before becoming mayor, she served for a decade on the Auburn City Council and spent 25 years as a financial manager at Boeing.

During her time as mayor, Backus has focused on public safety, infrastructure, economic development, housing stability, and community health. Recent city priorities have included expanded support through the Auburn Resource Center, transportation and infrastructure improvements, downtown revitalization, and programs addressing homelessness, behavioral health, and quality of life for Auburn residents.

Mayor Backus will share important updates about key city programs, current priorities, and major activities taking place throughout the community. This will be a great opportunity to hear directly from the Mayor about the work being done to support Auburn’s residents, businesses, neighborhoods, and future growth.
