Puget Sound Honor Flight Overview
Auburn Rotary members recently had the opportunity to hear from Patty Carter and learn about the Puget Sound Honor Flight program. The program’s mission is to celebrate Western Washington World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War–era veterans by providing them with a free trip to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at the memorials built in their honor. In partnership with Alaska Airlines, this outstanding program has flown hundreds of our honored veterans to the nation’s capital. All arrangements are thoughtfully coordinated, including airfare, housing, meals, transportation, and visits to monuments, memorials, museums, and Arlington National Cemetery, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for each veteran.
